Code of Conduct
Chembur Karnataka Sangha’s Chembur Karnataka Night College is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. All students, faculty, staff, and visitors are expected to follow these guidelines to maintain the dignity and integrity of the college community.
1. Respect & Behaviour
- Treat everyone with courtesy, respect, and fairness, regardless of background, belief, or identity.
- No harassment, discrimination, bullying, or hate speech will be tolerated.
- Maintain polite and professional behaviour in classrooms, campus areas, and online forums.
2. Academic Integrity
- Uphold honesty in all academic work — no cheating, plagiarism, or misrepresentation of work.
- Follow assessment rules, deadlines, and examination protocols as specified by the college.
- Give proper credit to sources and collaborate only when permitted by instructors.
3. Attendance & Punctuality
- Attend classes regularly and arrive on time; inform the college for valid absences.
- Follow the attendance policy; excessive un-authorized absence may affect eligibility and evaluation.
4. Respect for College Property
- Use college facilities, books, and equipment responsibly.
- Any damage or loss should be reported immediately and may be charged to the responsible individual.
5. Safety & Discipline
- Follow safety rules and instructions given by college authorities and security staff.
- Smoking, alcohol, illegal substances, and violent behaviour are strictly prohibited on campus.
6. Use of Technology & Social Media
- Use college IT resources responsibly and lawfully; do not engage in cyberbullying or misuse.
- Maintain respectful communication on social media; do not post content that harms the reputation of individuals or the college.
Disciplinary Action: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, fines, suspension, or other disciplinary measures based on the severity of the offence and college policies.
7. Grievance & Reporting
- If you witness or experience misconduct, report it promptly to the college authorities or the designated grievance officer.
- All complaints will be handled confidentially and fairly according to the college’s grievance procedures.
